One of the things we will be selling at the rally will be a limited edition rally “Banksters” shirt only available at the event.

(although we’re in talks of modifying it so that you might be able to purchase a non-event version later)

You may have seen our “Don’t Tread” shirt at our events and it will finally be available online along with at least one new shirt,  perhaps more.

This will just be the beginning, as we are in talks with our allies to potentially add Jackets, DVDs and other products.

Part Four: Good News :) I am so very happy :) :) :) :)

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Time to Celebrate! (Case Dismissed) Maplewood has dismissed the case against me for my “failure to comply” with the arresting officers unconstitutional demands!!!! This is great news as I leave for the Continental Congress of 2009 TOMORROW and return the day before I was supposed to go to court – It would have been hard to focus on solutions to the many issues we face with the potential of 30 days jail or $1000 fine looming over my head, especially since I committed no crime!

Read part one of the story here: http://www.libertyrestorationproject.org/2009/10/15/part-1-the-arrest-or-kidnapping-in-violation-of-my-first-amendment-protections/
Read part two of the story here: http://www.libertyrestorationproject.org/2009/10/16/part-two-the-unlawful-detention/

Further Action (Taking them on): This will NOT stop here. Today I requested any discipline against my arresting officer, including but not limited to disciplinary action surrounding MY arrest. He is a rookie who only became an officer in May of this year, but I still need to know if this was an isolated incident or not. I picked up the full surveillance tape today, too.

Growing Together (Constitution Course): The Maplewood Constitution Course is this weekend (please rsvp so we know how much pizza to buy). It will be taught by Scott Wood who teaches the advanced Constitution Courses for the Riverbend 912 group. It will have an emphasis on individuals rights in relation to law enforcement, driving and an overall idea of the Constitutional role of government. Saturday November 14th from noon to 4pm. Please RSVP here: http://maplewoodconstitutioncourse.eventbrite.com

Fighting Globalism with Localism (What is CC2009 anyway?): The main reason I am so grateful these charges were dropped TODAY is so I may focus more strongly on the Continental Congress of 2009 – and it is nearly 24 hours out! This historic event is taking place in the suburbs of Chicago and will bring three citizen delegates from each state together for 11 days to discuss strategy we can implement to shift the growing trend toward tyranny in America. I have been elected as a delegate and feel very blessed to be the citizen spokes person for the state of Missouri. I have formed a state/local caucus of delegates and am working, with Josh helping every step of the way, along side with activists from all across the country to come up with a state/local initiative plan that can help guide us on our path to freedom.

How to Support Us (Rocking CC2009): If you are interested in supporting our trip to the CC2009, we are raising money to cover costs (approx $750). We have already received a total of $375 in donations from 6 amazing folks. I cannot tell you how blessed we feel to have your support, please accept a big, genuine “Thank You”. If you can help at all, even $5, we are raising funds at http://kctodc.chipin.com/continental-congress. You know me, I don’t like to ask for money, but this is something in which I feel we MUST have a strong presence. I have been diligently volunteering for LRP in a fulltime capacity for almost 2 years now and rarely ask for a thing in return, this time I’m asking for your support in prayers, finances and even advice :)

The ongoing battle (back to Maplewood): If you are interested in supporting my ongoing fight against unconstitutional arrest (kidnapping) and detainment I was forced to endure on October 12 in Maplewood, here are the things that would be the greatest help:

1. Help spread the word about the Maplewood Constitution Course (we have fliered the community for three Sundays) – know a local radio host – have an interested email list? http://maplewoodconstitutioncourse.eventbrite.com

2. Educate yourself on your rights and the Constitutional role of law enforcement - if we expect those making the laws to abide by their oath, we sure as heck better make sure those with guns who enforce the laws are, too! You can attend this free course my RSVPing here: http://maplewoodconstitutioncourse.eventbrite.com

3. Consider supporting the Liberty Restoration Project financially - You can set up a monthly donation as low as $5 by visiting: http://www.libertyrestorationproject.org/donate.php The funds you donate to LRP go straight to streets of Missouri or the halls of Jefferson City. Your donation money goes a very long with with LRP, we try to spend money only in ways that provides a direct interaction with the community – gas money to testify in committee hearings in Jefferson City, paying for documents obtained through the Missouri Sunshine Law, printing fliers to put on doors or pass out in the community (we have handed out 10s of thousands of fliers in the Kansas City and Saint Louis metro areas in the past year), etc.. We have found great success in our style of direct, assertive, yet loving activism, and we could not be where we are today with out each and every one of you :) And yes, we are all 100% VOLUNTEERS!!!

4. Spread the word about my arrest: People need to hear the truth about what is happening in many of our law enforcement communities today, the greater we can grow the buzz around the incident, the greater the likelihood I will be successful in an offensive strategy against them. One of my goals is to ensure every employee of the city of Maplewood understands the Constitution before I’m done. Same goes for the citizens. I am not out to smear our law enforcement community, just hold them accountable to the Constitution in the same fashion many of us are working to hold our elected officials accountable to the Constitution. I hope you will support that :)

I love you all, and will be live tweeting from cc2009 for the next 11 days at www.twitter.com/donttreadoncat ( I will be back in StL for the Constitution Course).
You can also follow my video blogs and personal blog updates at www.donttreadoncat.com . I will be updating as relevant to LRP at www.libertyrestorationproject.org

Part Three: Shaping the Community in Response the Unlawful Arrest and Detention (Maplewood Constitution Course)

Monday, November 9th, 2009

After going through an unlawful arrest and detention, it is easy to feel defeated by the system. (read part 1 here and part 2 here)

While I am frustrated that the prosecuting attorney has yet to sign off on my charges (so I’m technically STILL not charged, although I spent 5 hours in jail and had to post $750 bond), I am feeling very optimistic about finding a resolution – let me tell you why.

While in jail I learned that many of the women incarcerated do not understand their rights. They do not understand the Constitution or how our country was formed, nor do they understand the proper role of government or law enforcement. They have accepted police abuse and targeting as a fact of life. One girl, after arriving, said, “well I better kick back and enjoy a few free meals, I’m sure I’ll be here a few days”. Why were these women in jail? Most were unable to afford the property tax on their vehicles and were swooped up off the streets and incarcerated, the remainder were for other issues surrounding the use of a vehicle. None of them had hurt anyone or damaged/stolen any property. Doesn’t sound very free to me.

In response to the situation found in Maplewood, the Liberty Restoration Project is excited to announce that we are sponsoring a FREE four hour Constitution Course for the citizens of Maplewood. This course will be taught by Scott Wood who teaches Advanced Constitution courses for the Riverbend 912 group and will take place at the Maplewood Library on November 14th from noon to 4pm. You can RSVP here: http://maplewoodconstitutioncourse.eventbrite.com.

For the past 3 weeks we have gone door to door in the community of Maplewood handing out fliers for the course. We also have fliers up in 9 area businesses. The response from the community was overwhelmingly supportive. Not one person disagreed with our course of action, all stating that Maplewood Police have a reputation that is NOT favorable, although most folks we spoke to made sure to clarify they DO support fair law enforcement (so does LRP).

What action will I be taking personally?
1. I have received 4 minutes of the surveillance footage, and am picking up the rest today or tomorrow. I have also requested and received the Oath of Office of the arrest officer (he was a rookie, sworn in May 26, 2009).
2. I have filed a complaint against the city of Maplewood and the arresting officer – I have already met with Internal Affairs over this matter. My entire conversation is recorded, I will try to post soon.
3. I have filed a complaint against the city of Richmond Heights and the officer who treated me so poorly in jail, they have not responded yet.
4. I am working closely with Fox Channel 2’s investigative reporter – big things coming :) Stay Tuned.
5. I have found a first amendment attorney who is going to represent me pro-bono. Both offensive and defensive. Gear up.

If you want to help in anyway, feel free to get in touch :)

Help LRP Get to CC2009!!!

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

Hey everyone, Just wanted to let you know, Josh and I will be hitting the road in a couple days to participate in the historic Continental Congress in Chicago to help plan the fight for our freedom with liberty-lovers from around the country.

The Continental Congress will have 3 citizen delegates from each state in the Union, all coming together to plan and compare strategies to combat the statism that has infected our country. I am proud to be one of the delegates from Missouri, and Josh and I, along with Texas for Accountable Government(TAG), will be championing the effort to encourage our state officials and county sheriffs to act in their proper role as Constitutional checks on federal intrusion.

We have put up a chip in to help us cover expenses involved in attending the Continental Congress(not to be confused with a ConCon). We have various expenses to cover from food at the event for Josh(no outside food allowed); tax on the hotel room(11 nights worth); and gas there and back twice. If you can, please consider making a small donation(even 5 bucks helps!) to help us attend this historic event.

I know times are tough financially, but anything anyone can contribute would not only be appreciated but will go a long way(we know how to stretch a dollar). Thanks to Continental Congress for covering many of my expenses, and if we raise more than we need, we will donate the excess to Continental Congress.

My experience with Homeland Security… (written by Travis Maddox of SW Missouri)

Saturday, November 7th, 2009

Greetings my dear friends of Liberty. I have a story to tell of my first hand experience with Homeland Security and FEMA. I have told several friends and have tried to get the word out over the past few years of my experience with them. I feel I must now tell this publicly with the hope of awakening more to the dangers that may lie ahead in the very near future. What I will tell is the complete truth and although many of you may not know me that well I hope the ones that do can vouch for my character in being honest.

From 1999 through 2008 I worked in the law enforcement field. I am a 2000 graduate of the Drury University Peace Officers Certification Academy and in 2005 I was working as a Hospital Security Officer for a local hospital in Springfield, MO. While working there I was told of a new emergency response team being formed in my area and was asked to volunteer to be on the team. Along with being on the team came additional training that I felt could help my career. I soon found out that this team was part of Homeland Security and the training would be through them. Being that I had already been very aware of the damage to our liberties that the HSD was doing I wanted to see first hand what this training was about so I volunteered.

This training was to be for Chemical, Nuclear and Biological terrorism. It would be three days of training. The team consisted of Law Enforcement, Medical and First Responder personnel. The training was put on by a private company contracted by the US Army out of Ft Leonard Wood Missouri. Ft. Leonard Wood is the headquarters for the Army’s training in chemical, nuclear and biological warfare. The first day of training was typical book learning about the affects of these agents in or on the human body and how to decontaminate if in contact with them. After the first day we broke up into groups of our respective fields of work and that is when it became interesting.

Being in the law enforcement group my training dealt very little with the medical side of things other than how the personally protect ourselves if we were to come into contact with said foreign chemicals. My training dealt mostly with how to deal with the population in a time of crisis. We trained on forced evacuations, containment, quarantine, removal from homes, forcing citizens into the quarantine areas to be decontaminated and to receive their forced vaccination. Yes, I did say forced vaccination.

We were told that through our governments experience in our own country and in other nations that they have discovered that even in a time of crisis the people still do not trust the government and will most likely not want to be moved to a government holding facility. They encouraged us to build relationships with local churches so that we may use their facilities because the people would be more likely to go to a church than to a government holding facility. We trained to use public transportation and school buses to go into the communities and go door to door to remove people from their homes to take them to the quarantine area. We were told that some will not want to go and that even though it may be our neighbors, friends or even family that for the safety of the community we needed to be prepared to use force, even deadly force to remove them.

Once to the containment area the people would be ordered to fall in line to be decontaminated. Prior to the arrival of the people a decontamination area would be set up at the entrance to the facility and all other exits would be locked with chains to prevent anyone from leaving the facility and possibly recontaminating themselves. The decontaminating area outside the facility would most likely be tents set up and run by the first responder and medical staff. We were told that one of the most difficult things we had to do was at the entrance to the decontamination area, to force the person to strip naked so that they could be properly decontaminated. As they went through the process they would be scrubbed, washed and scrubbed again being forced to go down an assembly line of sorts before they could enter the quarantine area. At the end of the line they would receive a vaccination and a pair of hospital or jail style scrubs or jumpsuit to wear. Once they entered the holding facility they would not be allowed to leave until released by government officials.

Through out this training we were told many times that this is something we may not want to do but we must do it for the greater good and safety of the community. We were told how we needed to begin now to prepare ourselves mentally for the possibility of using force on our fellow citizens. We were told that this type of training could be also used in the case of a pandemic out break of a disease. I felt very strongly that they were making an attempt to in effect brainwash us in how it would be so necessary to get full compliance from the people. Of course as the training went on there were jokes and laughs made about having to strip people naked and washing them down. I specifically remember one comment from an instructor as to how some parts of the body are affected when they are naked, cold and wet.

After this training I was asked to be the Security Coordinator for the team, I declined and resigned from the team. I was told that there are teams just like this being formed all over the nation, in every county and that they are being funded and coordinated by the Homeland Security department.

My story may not be much but if it can help to awaken a few more to what is going on in our country and how we are so rapidly loosing what little liberty we have left then I will have done some good. This training was four years ago so I am sure the training is more advanced and intense now. I see the signs all around that one day, maybe very soon these type of tactics might be used right here in my own neighborhood. When that day comes I pray I am not the only one resisting and maybe dying for my God given rights as a human being that no man can take.

I hope you will spread this message around for I have not been able to get any media to be interested in it. I swear to you that every word I have typed is the truth.

For Liberty,

Travis Maddox

Jackson County Voters vote today to extend drug task force sales tax

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Today is the COMBAT Sales Tax Renewal vote for many Kansas City Area residents.

The politicians and police departments have come out in force to support this tax renewal, along with the organizations that receive funding from COMBAT.

Just a few reminders concerning reasons to mark “NO” on this vote:

The results of County Executive Sanders’ audit has not yet arrived at the “recommendations” phase. (They are asking tax payers to approve sales taxes to fund an organization still recovering from corruption, with no proposals on what changes are being considered)

COMBAT operations expose that the drug war is an endless money hole that never ends – http://www.kansascity.com/273/story/1524617.html

Some COMBAT money goes to fund private developers through the TIF program – http://primebuzz.kcstar.com/?q=node/20403

Ed Martin Announces “Enough is Enough” Tour

Ed Martin Announces “Enough is Enough” Tour

Ed Martin Announces ‘Enough is Enough’ Tour in Response to Pelosi-Carnahan 1,990-Page Tax Increase, Government Takeover of Health Care
St. Louis – Ed Martin today announced he will be launching an “Enough is Enough” tour to highlight Nancy Pelosi’s radical 1,990-page tax increase and government takeover of American health care. Ed Martin is running to replace Russ Carnahan, the incumbent Congressman who votes with Nancy Pelosi 99 percent of time and endorsed the 1,990-page plan without reading it.

“Nancy Pelosi has announced a 1990-page Obamacare bill that is a giveaway to liberal special interest groups and a takeaway from families and seniors” said Ed Martin. “Everywhere I go in the district people tell me they want a representative in Congress who will stand up for them. Russ Carnahan isn’t listening to them, but I am. I have printed out this behemoth bill and am taking it with me as I visit with Missourians so we can send a message to Nancy Pelosi and Russ Carnahan that ‘enough is enough.’”
Ed Martin will spend the week bringing the Pelosi-Carnahan-Obamacare bill to the people. His tour will include visits with patients, doctors, seniors, small businessmen and women and students. It will include public “Ask Ed Anything” meetings within the district.

Mere hours after Pelosi publicly offered her 1,990-page bill, Congressman Russ Carnahan gave his support ostensibly without reading it. This blind support for higher taxes and a government-takeover of health care follows in Carnahan’s role in the Congress as being “not high maintenance” as described by Nancy Pelosi when she came to St. Louis to raise money for Carnahan on October 3, 2009.

For more information and specific details on the “Enough is Enough” please contact Brenda Madden Kimberlin at (314) 496-1799 or (314) 256-1776.  Updates on tour stops will be made via twitter @ed4congress

Press Release: Local Group To Hold Fourth Rally To Raise Awareness Of Federal Reserve Role In Nation’s Debt

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 10/22/09

Local Group To Hold Fourth Rally To Raise Awareness Of Federal Reserve Role In Nation’s Debt

Kansas City, MO. –  Liberty Restoration Project is a group that has built a reputation for being Kansas City’s regional organizers of the nationwide rallies in support of Oversight and Abolition Legislation regarding the Federal Reserve Banking System.  We will be rallying at 12:00 pm at the corner of Memorial Drive and Main Street on November 22, 2009.

This will be our fourth rally in support of congressional oversight legislation.  Our previous Federal Reserve rallies were titled “Ben Bernanke Angry Mob to Audit The Fed KC” on July 26, 2009; “Monopoly March to End The Federal Reserve Banking Scheme KC” on April 25, 2009; and “End The Fed KC” on November 22, 2008.

The Federal Reserve was established in 1913 by the enactment of the “Federal Reserve Act” under the guise of a needed “Central Banking system”. We dispute the legalities of the enactment due to the fact that the “FED” is a private bank that is not overseen by any branch of the US government. The Feds’ sole purpose is to serve as the banker to the government, manage money supply, supervise and regulate a large share of the country’s banking and financial systems, and print money. The FED prints money for a fee in exchange for government bonds, the fee’s assessed from printing money is generated by charging the American people an Income tax. All of the listed elements above were deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in multiple rulings.

Our goal is to raise public awareness of the unconstitutional actions of the Federal Reserve in hopes that our nation’s willingness to build toward a complete and independent audit of all financial practices of the bank and all recipients of currency issued through such practices; and to raise awareness to support the following federal legislation:
S. 604 – also known as the “Federal Reserve Sunshine Act of 2009″
H.R. 1207 – also known as the “Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009″
H.R. 833 – also known as the “Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act”.
