Hello,
My name is Kevin Kobe. I’m with Liberty Restoration Project. I am writing to inform you of our next protest rally on April 25th, 2009. It will be a rally at the Federal Reserve Bank and a march to the IRS building.
I would like to use this opportunity to open up a line of communication between the organization and the police department. Our rally in November went very well, and I don’t know if the Police were contacted after that rally, but I would also like to thank the police department, and the officers who were there for a peaceful, positive response to our presence.
Last time around the police officers were very positive and that is one of the most positive comments that we had during that rally and we appreciate that very much.
It is our goal to see another successful, peaceful, positive protest rally this time around, even though we are expecting a dramatically increased number of attendees.
With the unfortunate recent release of the Missouri Information Analysis Center “Militia” report, I know that Police Officers and some attendees might be nervous of each others’ presence. It is our position that we welcome with open arms the presence of peaceful Law Enforcement Officers and peaceful protesters and wash away any prejudice anyone may have that police or protesters are inherently violent.
We are training people to handle various situations, who are aware of techniques to de-escalate and single out anyone who would attempt to spoil the peaceful event.
This will be a 2-day event and we are working on drafting a full itinerary for the weekend, and you can view current details of the event at the subpage of our website http://www.libertyrestorationproject.org/endthefed
We are putting on this rally to raise awareness of the private banking control of the value of the dollar and how federal spending of taxpayer dollars is complacency with this institution.
On a personal note, I would definitely like to see law enforcement and the public become more comfortable with the sight of persons expressing their first amendment rights to assembly and speech, that way maybe the public will be more inclined to participate in their first amendment rights in a peaceful manor.
I would like to keep a channel of communication open leading up to this rally, and would like to establish a way for police to contact our organizers on the day of the rally, should they observe a concern.
Please feel free to forward this email to anyone it may concern, and feel free to contact me if there are any questions.
Thank you for your time,
Kevin L. Kobe
