The 2009 Conservative Political Activists Conference was quite an eventful experience. Liberty was in the air everywhere you turned your head. Let me first proudly tell you that the results of the 2009 CPAC straw poll were released at the end of the Saturday session and our inspiration, Congressman Ron Paul finished a close 3rd behind Mitt Romney and Bobby Jindal. This included an entire field of  other conservative candidates behind the top three. Though I have to admit I was disappointed initially about the results,  Catherine made a great point. We definitively have made up a ton of ground in the last year,  (just a huge sign of what is to come). The contacts we made were incredibly valuable, the training was informative, and the free food and drinks were just an added bonus. Keep your eyes peeled for our DC Tea Party run down.
