I am from Ohio and in parts of that state, it was found unlawful for red light cameras to be placed. It must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that the cameras are being placed as a method of accident prevention instead of merely revenue. I would suggest that the laws in Cleveland and Dayton, Ohio pertaining to red light cameras be further researched in order to legally prevent the cameras from being placed in KC. In Dayton, Ohio, the city council ordered the cameras removed because they found no evidence that the cameras were preventing accidents and they were only being used as revenue. I hope that this information is helpful.
